Tasting Colheita & Vintage Port 1963

Der Jahrgang 1963 gehört zu den legendären Vintage Port Jahrgängen des vergangenen Jahrhunderts – zu Recht, wie das von World of Port organisierte Tasting am vergangenen Samstag in Leverkusen zeigte. Rund ein Dutzend Weine bewiesen richtige Klasse und zeigten die Tiefe und Konzentration, die den Jahrgang auszeichnet. Signifikantes Merkmal ist auch die langsame Entwicklung – die besten Weine haben nach wie vor zwei Jahrzehnte vor sich. In Summe waren es die bekannten Namen wie Dow, Taylor oder Fonseca die auf nahezu perfekte Weise das Potential des Jahrgangs umsetzten. Erfreuliche Überraschung war Sandeman – der 1963er ist wesentlich besser als die Reputation dieses Hauses.
